The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is available for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
Costs
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is the thing Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should factor into your decision.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before funding.
